The biggest challenge that came up with this project was that I am a completely able bodied person. I have absolutely no reference on what a person would be able to traverse using their mobility aids or with their disabilities. My solution was to use photos and let them decide what they would be able to do.
During this process we actually identified for the city that the library, with its current street conditions, was completely inaccessible for people who would need a wheelchair. It was mind blowing for all parties involved.
